It is very crucial for both you and our recruiters to have a good post offer follow up. Candidates tend to usually have more than one offer and would be thinking of which company would value them more?
Give below are a few ideas that could help you in the POFU Process:
Create a post-offer package or Pre-Onboarding kit
This should consist of candidate resources like
- Company culture videos
- Introductory video messages from leaders
- Point of contacts in the office to reach out to for queries related to the joining.
This helps candidates to understand your organisation better and helps them in getting some insights about their future workplace. The candidate can pursue the information whenever it is convenient for them.
Introduce current employees/ teammates or manager by a visit to office
When you introduce a team member or a “buddy” then a sense of belonging is felt by the candidate. It also shows the importance given towards the future employees and this helps bridge gaps between what the candidate & your organisation.
Coffee / Lunches with the Manager
Coffee Lunches with the Manager or someone from the senior management team is always good for the candidate experience. We make it a practise at Multi Recruit to meet our candidates before they join your company. And we recommend this to all our clients which increases the conversion rate of offers to onboarding.
Newsletter which talks about company updates events, seminars webinars etc.
During the notice period which is from offer to onboarding the candidate is inquisitive to know what is happening on the employer side. If you company has monthly mailers being sent to the public then it would be a good idea to send the same to the prospective joinee.
Bag of Goodies / Merchandise
Everyone likes goodies & gifts. It is always a nice idea to swoon your candidates with a bag of goodies or office branding merchandise. Sending a “looking forward to you Joining” note from the Senior Management team adds the icing on top.
Birthday Wishes
If the candidate’s birthday falls between the offer to joining date period, then it always adds a feel-good factor to get wished on their birthday. A feeling of importance adds immense value to the candidate experience.
