Today’s blog is all about the stressful & Wacky questions asked by the recruiters during campus Interviews. These are generic questions and not logic derived, though based ones which usually involved a lot of calculations and spontaneous replies.

  1. Why are you here today?
  2. What would you do next if we do not hire you?
  3. What is the most important lesson that you have learnt in college?
  4. Describe a situation where you have had to work with a difficult team member. How was the person difficult and how did you handle it?
  5. What frustrates you the most?
  6. Have you ever manipulated a person’s point of view? If so, how, when and where?
  7. What has been your greatest challenge so far?
  8. How would you react to having your credibility questioned?
  9. How do you solve conflicts?
  10. What else should I know about you?
  11. How will you add value to our organization?
  12. Have you ever motivated other people? If yes, tell us how you motivated him/her/them.
  13. Do you think you are qualified and experienced enough for this position?
  14. Tell me about the most difficult decision you have ever made.
  15. What was the use of extra-curricular activities to you? Are they beneficial to you now? Would they benefit my company?
  16. This is a highly stressful job. Do you think you can handle it?
  17. Tell me something about yourself that has not been mentioned in your resume.
  18. What are your team-player qualities? Give examples.
  19. If all of your team members are experienced, highly qualified individuals, would you be intimidated to working with them? How would you deal with a senior-junior conflict, if it did arise?
  20. What is your biggest weakness?
  21. Walk us through a problem that you couldn’t solve.
  22. If you were under-recognized for your efforts, how would you deal with it?
  23. Are you willing to relocate or travel as part of your career?
  24. How would your professors/past employers describe you? How would you describe yourself?
  25. If you were the interviewer, which of these questions would you not ask the interviewee?
  26. What is it about our company that interests you?
  27. Why should I hire you and not the other candidates?
  28. Is there anything about the company that you would like to change? If yes, how? If no, why?
  29. Explain your job search process.
  30. Tell me any 3 of your accomplishments that you think will be useful for my company. And why?
